Just Havin Them Some Behead-lam: When the Media Gets One Right Quite by Accident
You undoubtedly know both stories; the actual and the official record of events. The official transcript does report the brutal murder of Colleen Hufford at the Vaughan Foods building. A disgruntled worker, Alton Nolen, entered the building after some ambiguous problems at his, allegedly, former employer, lost his cool and killed someone -- and may have beheaded her. While attacking a second woman, Nolen was stopped by the company CEO, Mark Vaughan -- who may have had a gun. Just a little fall time, work place violence, nothing more to see.
If you must know, Mr. Nolen was technically a Muslim, may have spent considerable effort trying to convert his former coworkers. He is also reported to have said some wild things about stoning women, posted some hipster and innocent videos about ISIS beheading people and other average American pastimes, but it was just an event of the fall; Behead-lam if you will -- happens every(ish) year.
Undoubtedly, readers of this newspaper have already rejected the above story as the bovine-feces it is. Alton Nolen, his self chosen name being Jah'keem Yisrael, was a radicalized nutcase. His Facebook page, the modern autobiography, was filled with the semi-literate ramblings of a lunatic jihadist. In post after misspelled post, Jah'keem illuminated the sinful world with condemnations of down-blouse pictures of women, images of the patron saint Osama Bin Laden, promises to burn down lady liberty and "Amerika," some old pictures of himself after workouts and in his Cadillac -- just your average Joe Oklahoma. He also posted about death, the righteous murder of unbelievers and an open grave, ready to welcome him, which he captioned "2 thangs after death….see God and get paid for the life we lived. This is a promise. InfoFromAMuslim."
The real story is simple, Jah'keem Yisrael was plain nuts. He was obsessed with the more murderous portions of Islam, and he was exercising his religion and giving a shout-out to his ISIS brothers when he beheaded a woman. To him the tragic events at Vaughan Food would have been worthy of uploaded pictures and a Facebook status worthy of many likes, shares and comments -- had he not been shot while attacking a second infidel. Now, while awaiting a probable death penalty day in court, Jah'Keem sits as a servant of Allah, the only justice "Amerika" may exact on him would simply be "him gettin paid." The actual number of virgins and other "thangs" he may have earned he has been unable to communicate to the infidel public writ large.
The difference between the official narrative and his misspelled nightmare are, in and of themselves evil. It is wrong that the man described above, in his own words, is anthropomorphized into Joe Average by a media advancing a narrative. As they have stuck to the script, Muslims are 100% peaceful -= even when they kill people; the media gives more than a foothold for evil to gain space within our borders. If this be not evil, what is?
That story, of media bias and outright aiding and abetting an enemy, is hackneyed and dull. But, in their arrogance and ignorance, a dishonest media planted hope and an accidental truth in the bloody aftermath. File it under broke clocks still being right twice a day if you like.
The truth of this story reported in terms of media fable, is that Jah'keem was a lunatic who beheaded people. His actions, though common in certain dusty outposts of the Caliphate, are quite rare here in America. Our justice system has little problem prosecuting such actions - even the most politically correct moon-bats are careful not to defend the events in Moore as just another celebration in the multi-cultural calendar of previously unknown holidays.
What the media refused to cover, the fact that a Deputy Sheriff used a gun to stop the beheading, is the present solution available to a very rare problem. While the professional class frets, and Obama reacts by sending a letter of affirmation to the only mosque he can find near Moore, a red dirt citizen had no lack of clarity -- he knew the only way to react to someone severing a head from a lifeless body and they attacking a second victim was to shoot the man with the knife. His actions were righteous and good, even the media can not bring themselves to condemn Mr. Vaughan as the gun obsessed redneck they wish him to be.
What the media accidentally declared, through their silence and outright lies, is that there is still good and evil --
when the two clash it is clear which side you must be on. Jah'keem may have been part of a Muslim community in Oklahoma that had much to do with sponsoring his actions, or he may be as nuts as he appears. There are valid links to a mosque in Oklahoma City and one in Boston that should be investigated. That is for the people of the Sooner state to decide. For now, the unfortunate sole option to confronting ISIS types who are undeniably here in America is to shoot when you have to. Despite the screams and multicultural pangs of confusion that reality sends across editors desks, the response to evil is that simple, and not foreign to anyone in Oklahoma.
This evil is a reminder of what is right and good in Oklahoma. While others don't know how to respond to so clear an evil, you do. This was a tragedy. The knife wielding religious nut job was stopped, and good people suffered. We mourn the life of innocence lost, hug our kids a little tighter, love our neighbor a little more, and thank the good Lord for all that we have. These events, being in the starkest contrast to everything else in life, are an unfortunate reoccurrence of a fallen world still living in the tension of coexisting with evil. That is something alien to the editor's desk of nation news makers, but part of the soul of the people of Oklahoma. This was not an event that should be made into something it was not, a national story. It was evil, local, and something that will not derail a good people living north of the red river.
Oklahoma will move on. Part of self governance will be to investigate the mosque which housed this Jihad-monster. If it is a place of violence and apocalyptic terror, there will be much more to write in these pages. But for now, we have seen evil in our time -- and that is part of a proud historical tradition. It is not new, neither is our response. I, for one, appreciate the respite from their own insanity the media gave us on this one. Their words ring hollow and tinny, may they not disturb the silence needed to mourn. May their lies and omissions not muddy the clear waters of truth. May we not spend our days and our energies fighting the useless fight against their thinly cloaked agendas and propping up of a failed leader. We are free, and we will exercise that freedom even in these troubling of times. That is where we find hope. That is where truth liberates us. That is where Oklahoma is great.
